      What is the maximum allowable index length on AVITI™?

      What is the maximum allowable index length on AVITI or AVITI24™?

      Answer

      Index lengths in the AVITI Operating Software version 2.5.0 or greater are not restricted, with the exception of Elevate™ Index 1, which must have at least 4 cycles. Index lengths up to 55 bp have been tested successfully, but are not fully validated. We have not tested lengths greater than 55 bp. Note that Bases2Fastq™ can demultiplex a maximum index length of 16 cycles. Index FASTQ files > 16 cycles can be generated.
