AVITI Dx™ System
A mid-throughput benchtop sequencer, CE-marked as a Class A IVD under the EU IVDR, with dual boot mode: IVD mode for diagnostic sequencing workflows and RUO mode for assay development and clinical research.
AVITI Dx products are not available for sale in the U.S. and are available only in select countries, as confirmed by Element.
Built for the demands of a regulated laboratory
Precise, high-quality data
AVITI Dx generates raw DNA sequencing data from a variety of biological samples, with >90% of bases at Q30 or above.
Flexibility
With dual flow cells and individually addressable lanes, run different samples or panels side-by-side without dedicating a full run to a single protocol.
Cost-efficient sequencing
AVITI Dx brings the efficiencies of Avidite Base Chemistry™ (ABC™) to the diagnostic laboratory, helping you manage the cost of sequencing as testing needs grow.
A commitment to molecular diagnostics
AVITI Dx, together with our ISO 13485 quality management system certification, reflects our commitment to providing sequencing technologies for molecular diagnostic laboratories.
One instrument, two operating modes
AVITI Dx supports switching between RUO and IVD operating environments, maximizing utilization across research and clinical workflows.

Powered by ABC sequencing
AVITI Dx is powered by Avidite Base Chemistry (ABC), which reduces run costs and improves sequencing performance.
Linear library molecules are loaded and circularized on-instrument. Rolling circle amplification generates tightly bound polonies for PCR-free amplification that reduces index hopping and other PCR-induced errors. The polonies are sequenced using fluorescent Avidites™ that bind to the polonies creating a prominent signal for highly-accurate base calling and reduced reagent consumption.
Intended use
The AVITI Dx product family delivers precise, high-quality raw DNA sequencing data from a variety of biological samples. The product is intended solely as a data generation tool and does not provide diagnostic interpretations or direct clinical recommendations.
