Resolve the biology behind drug response
Cytos™ captures transcriptome, morphology, and protein changes from the same cells to build a multidimensional view of drug response.
Explore drug response from efficacy to mechanism
Phenotypic drug screening helps researchers identify compounds that produce a desired cellular response, understand why they work, and uncover potential toxicity.

Heterogenous response resolution |
Drug response is multidimensional. Today's assays capture only part of the picture.
Morphology, protein, and transcriptomic assays each reveal a different dimension of how cells respond to treatment. Connecting these separate measurements is critical to build a more complete picture of efficacy, mechanism, and toxicity.

Cytos connects every dimension of drug response
Bring morphology, protein, and transcriptomics together in a single integrated workflow to connect cellular phenotype with the mechanisms driving response. Generate deeper insights from every screen to qualify leads with greater confidence, while replacing multiple disconnected assays with one streamlined experiment.

FAQ
-
Cytos captures morphology, 3′ transcriptome, and protein from the same treated cell. Measure morphology across the cell membrane, nucleus, actin, and mitochondria, alongside whole-transcriptome changes and up to 20 customizable protein or additional morphology markers via immunofluorescence.
-
Yes, with Cytos on AVITI24, you can run up to 96 conditions in a single dual sided run. Because morphology, transcriptome, and protein come from the same treated cells, a dose series or time course produces one consistent multimodal dataset rather than results that have to be reconciled across separate assays and plates.
-
Runs require <1 hour of upfront prep and minimal hands-on time. Fix treated cells directly on the slide kit, assemble the flow cell, and let the AVITI24 take care of the rest during the 65–80 hour automated run. Once complete, quickly review high-level QC in an automated report before moving to secondary analysis, including Bases2FastQ and 3′ alignment in ElemBio Catalyst, followed by downstream visualization and tertiary analysis.
