AVITI OS v2.4.1 and v2.4.0 Release Notes

Summary of Changes

AVITI OS v2.4.1 (Patch release to v2.4.0)

  • To address potential run failure if demultiplexing barcodes for index1 and index2 are different lengths.

AVITI OS v2.4.0

Comprehensive support for new sequencing kits:

  • AVITI™ 2x300 Sequencing Kit Cloudbreak™ High Output
  • AVITI™ 2x300 Sequencing Kit Cloudbreak™ Medium Output

Support for Low-Diversity Amplicon Libraries:

  • When you set up a run for the Adept Workflow and a 2 x 300 sequencing kit, you can enable a Low-Diversity Amplicon Library option. Enabling this option requires high sample index plexity but reduces the amount of PhiX spike-in required to sequence 16S amplicons and other low-diversity libraries. The option therefore increases throughput and decreases cost.

Support for the AVITI System LT:

  • Visual indicators differentiate between the full AVITI System and the AVITI System LT, including new logos, new home screen background colors, and new start-up screens.
  • AVITI OS limits sequencing kit support for the AVITI System LT to the following medium and low output kits:
    • AVITI™ 2x300 Sequencing Kit Cloudbreak™ Medium Output
    • AVITI™ 2x150 Sequencing Kit Cloudbreak™ Medium Output
    • AVITI™ 2x150 Sequencing Kit Cloudbreak™ Low Output
    • AVITI™ 2x75 Sequencing Kit Cloudbreak™ Medium Output
  • High Output Kits Add-On
  • The High Output Kits add-on appears on the full AVITI System and any AVITI System LT that upgrades to the full AVITI system. The add-on lets users select high-output sequencing kits in addition to medium and low- output kits when setting up a sequencing run.

Sequencing kit output levels appear for planned runs:

  • When applicable, sequencing kit output levels appear for planned runs on the instrument.

Sustaining improvements:

  • If one library pool fails to generate data for a run that uses individually addressable lanes, the software now notifies the user that data is unavailable for the failed library pool.
  • For High Elevation mode, run setup estimates priming times more precisely than before.
  • Instrument start-up includes additional error handling for rare nest hardware failures.
  • Updates improve the process for software and firmware upgrades.
  • The Notifications list now includes pagination.

Known Issues:

  • If the waste module leak errors are triggered for both instrument sides, the user cannot unlock the waste module door.
  • Low diversity runs can cause the thumbnail to have a green or yellow hue; an upcoming release will address this issue.
