We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician for the Reagent Mfg. team, responsible for fulfilling the manufacturing and quality control of reagent consumables designated for both internal use and commercial sale. The technician will also be responsible for working with and troubleshooting equipment and instruments used to formulate, fill, and kit reagents.


  • Formulation of reagents and buffers according to SOPs/WIs/BRs, as assigned by the Lead
  • Analysis and QC testing of formulated reagents via standard lab techniques
  • Filling and kitting of formulated reagents and buffers
  • Collection and basic analysis of process data
  • Process work orders to complete products to inventory
  • Maintain a correct inventory of materials through cycle counts, receipt of materials, and processing inventory movement transactions accurately
  • Assist in troubleshooting on formulations, filling processes, kitting, analytical techniques
  • Assist in continuous improvement activities related to reagent formulation, filling, and kitting
  • Operate in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with other scientists, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to support R&D and process improvement activities to meet production goals
  • Escalates issues to support groups and leadership in a clear, concise, and timely manner
  • Active participant in resolving problems on the production floor
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Experience with SOPs, BRs, WIs
  • Experience with using manufacturing systems (e.g., Mfg. Execution System, ERP, QMS) a plus
  • Knowledge of GMP/GDP, lean manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement (CI) principles preferred
  • Hands-on experience with pH and conductivity meters, UV-vis, and other standard lab equipment
  • Must work well independently and with minimal to no direct supervision in later hours of shift
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and flexible
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook or equivalent email client, PowerPoint, basic Windows OS navigation, etc.) and ability to navigate web-based applications with ease (e.g., Box, Confluence, mfg. systems)
  • Experience with formulation, fill, kitting (or packaging) in a laboratory or GMP setting is preferred
  • Desire for additional responsibilities and a future leadership role within the company highly desired
  • Demonstrated working professional (e.g., shows up to work on time and ready to work, team player, reliable, follows instructions well, and treats everyone with respect)
  • Familiar with shift work; experience working on an off shift even better
  • Comfortable with routine and repetitive manufacturing activities
  • Ability to work overtime as required


  • A Bachelor of Science degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, or other related life science discipline preferred
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in biotech/pharma manufacturing or in a laboratory
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.


  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for duration of 8-hour shift
