The Role

We are seeking a strong Sales Leader to build out the sales team, develop process efficiencies and serve our customers. Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer, this individual will own the entire customer journey from demand generation, through purchase and product use.   • You will have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Life Sciences Tools market and knowledge of competitive products in the Next Generation Sequencing space and adjacencies
  • You are an excellent communicator with best-in-class customer service skills who can quickly navigate any situation to reach desired goals
  • You will work with leaders across the company to ensure the organization hits all sales and revenue goals. While US based, you will guide, influence, and consult with global sales teams to ensure continuity and sharing of best practices
  • You will work with the marketing department to establish campaigns, design print and online promotional materials for the company's products and services
  • You will recruit and hire Field and Inside sales teams and develop and execute training and onboarding programs
  • You will coordinate sales interactions with Customer Support and Marketing organizations to ensure great end-to-end customer experiences
  • You will manage sales budgets, set quarterly and annual sales goals. You will work with Finance and Commercial Operations team to ensure that team and individual goals are measured and rewarded and provide detailed sales forecasting to Finance and Operations
  • You will monitor the market and competitor products and activities
  • You will review customer activity, anticipate consumer needs, and improve customer satisfaction


  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or business-related field required
  • Graduate degree in a life science or business-related field may be advantageous
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Senior Sales leadership position in Life Science
  • Start-up or early-stage company experience ideal
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally across regions and across departments
  • Strong Managerial experience with proven experience building teams and driving revenue
