What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will drive the incremental growth of Element’s product portfolios. In this role, you will build technical credibility with customers by providing scientific and strategic support for our implementations. You will serve as the customer’s primary technical point of contact and ensure their overall satisfaction with the products, services, and support provided. 
  • Support sales managers and the specialist team to find and close sales opportunities by providing solutions that meet/exceed financial targets
  • Provide on-site technical support to customers
  • Provide in-depth pre- and post-sales process development support of key products in the form of technical talks, on-site product demonstration/training, and process optimization
  • Establish and leverage technical credibility to meet customer expectation and gain commitment from customer to use Element’s platform
  • Aligns customer’s technical expectations with Engineering’s capabilities and plans, including specification management and the articulation of a clear business case to support changes
  • Serve as technical consultant to projects both internally and externally
  • Maintain close relationships with sales and marketing team to support business targets, identify trends and opportunities, and resolve technical problems that customers are facing using our products
  • Contribute to development of applications knowledge, experimental designs, and technical documents
  • Provide market insight, competitive products, voice of customer, and product feedback to commercial and development teams
  • Establish contact and develop working relationship with appropriate resources within technical societies and key accounts
  • Utilizing CRM software to accurately identify and document customer opportunities and issues
What skills/experience do you need?
  • Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering or closely related field with extensive lab experience across multiple life science platforms
  • Experience in the generation and/or analysis of genomic data
  • Capable of working independently and working remotely
  • Able to balance long term company goals with short term deliverables
  • Extremely motivated and willing to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a hard-working and multidisciplinary team
  • Meticulous and detail oriented. Able to follow complex operating procedures.
  • Strong relationship-building, Interpersonal and account management abilities
  • MS degree with 1-4 years experience plus experience in NGS library construction
  • Experience with NGS sequencing instrument and sequencing run set up preferred
